Peanut butter recipe for log bird feeders


Log feeders are easy to make. Find a log 3 or 4 inches in diameter by a foot ot foot in a half long. Drill 2 or 3 holes on four sides. Each hole should be 1/2 inch deep by 1 inch in diameter. You can also add a pirch if you like. Add a threaded eye to one end and hang from tree limb or feeder pole.
Peanut Butter Recipe
2 cups peanut butter
2 cup corn meal
1/2 cup thistle sead
1/2 cup of any or mix of all peanuts, blackoil sunflower sead, cracked corn, and or pecans
1/2 cup bird sead


mix well, and refrigerate unused mixture. You can also use suet (animal fat) added with or in place of peanut butter in this recipe. If you add suet with peanut butter use 1 cup of each.
